The Victorinox Silver Tech Climber is an ideal everyday carry, fully loaded and lightweight enough not to drag you down. With 14 functions and a sleek design, it eliminates bulk and maximizes functionality, ensuring you feel prepared no matter what your day brings. The compact design makes this the perfect knife for any outdoor activity, including camping, fishing, or hiking, as well as handy for everyday uses around the house or office.

Sharpening your knife is a simple process. Use a whetstone at an angle of 15°– 20°, which will result in a cutting angle of 30°– 40°. If sharpening on a grinding wheel, always cool with plenty of water to avoid excessive temperatures and the resulting damages. After using your Swiss Army Knife for various applications, such as cutting open numerous boxes, you may notice that the blades begin to stick together. Opening and closing the blades in warm water several times will allow the tools to move easily again. Once they have dried, it is recommended to apply a small drop of oil between the blade or tool shank and the spring. To optimally maintain the locking mechanism, periodically apply a drop of our recommended Swiss Army Knife Oil. Never put Swiss Army Knives in the dishwasher.

The Silver Tech Climber is the perfect tool for your upcoming excursion. Measuring 3.6 inches long, it is stylishly cased in a high-tech silver housing with the familiar Victorinox logo on the side. The unit comes with a bunch of climbing-friendly mini-tools, including large and small blades, a can opener with a small screwdriver, a cap lifter with a screwdriver and wire stripper, and even a corkscrew to help you celebrate when you make it back down the mountain. Other tools include a reamer with a punch, tweezers, a toothpick, mini-scissors, and a multipurpose hook that acts as a parcel carrier.

Victorinox attends to every detail, from selecting the finest materials to performing the final inspection. Each individual tool has been hardened in a different way to stand up to its designated use. The Silver Tech Climber measures 3.6 by 0.71 by 1.06 inches (W x H x D), weighs 3 ounces, and carries a lifetime warranty.

Victorinox's story began in 1884 when Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. This marked the beginning of the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener's mother, and "inox," or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The original product dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer's and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor for versatility.
